This December we sponsored the Museum of Architecture's (MoA) Winter Fundraiser: the Gingerbread City Event.
This festive pop-up exhibition of Gingerbread buildings were designed, baked and built by some of the UK's leading architects, interior designers, engineers and landscape designers and were unveiled during the switching on of the lights at the exhibition's opening night on Tuesday 6th December.
As event sponsors, we supplied the exhibition with our range of linear lights. Our expert technicians then custom cut and fitted the LEDs inside more than 100 mouth-watering gingerbread buildings, bringing the whole city to life.
The MoA set up the exhibition with the aim of engaging the public with architecture in a creative and fun way. The charitable organisation are also running a series of workshops alongside the event for children and their families in which they'll be able to design and create their own gingerbread houses.
Since the launch of the event last week, the show has already proven to be a huge success, attracting a footfall of over 1,000 people in just three days.
The exhibition and workshops will run from 7th to 22nd December at 10 Thurloe Place in South Kensington (just across from the V&A). For more information or to make a booking, visit: www.thegingerbreadcity.com
