We were delighted to see our latest project at BXR London for DHA Designs was featured in this month’s issue of Mondo*Arc, the leading international publication for lighting design.
BXR London is the City’s first high-end, boutique boxing gym, which has been endorsed by Anthony Joshua. The entire lighting scheme was carried out by DHA Designs, who specified our range of architectural luminaires on the project.
The London-based design firm used a combination of our Zep 6 downlights and linear Decoline 15s strips in the lower ground gym, all in 2700k.
The project was led by Peter Fordham, partner and director at DHA Design, who commented: “Ecoled really stepped up to the mark with competitive pricing, and was extremely flexible with fixture finishes and optics available in its downlight range.
“It’s linear LED profiles fitted into even the tightest of details, providing dot-free illumination for the stairs, changing rooms and studios.”
The project was completed in January this year, just a couple of months before Joshua’s epic match against Wladimir Klitscho. Joshua commented: “BXR is a passion project for me. I want people to train like I do.” The Gym now offers state-of-the-art facilities and the lighting design reflects a high-end, refined interior.
BXR Gym has since been shortlisted for a Darc Award in the ‘best interior lighting scheme’ category.
