Lighting Designer Gus Goidanich set out to create a lighting scheme that enriched the architectural features of this incredible studio apartment. This unit was an old stable conversion with very high ceilings and wooden beam design features. An extremely unique project located in the heart of Clerkenwell. The lighting scheme celebrates the different architectural volumes of the unique warehouse in the heart of London’s design district.
Phos used our new Orba Mini Projectors to accentuate the wood beams, and provide functional lighting to the floor space below. Pano Mini Eyelids were specified to highlight the texture of the original brick walls without producing any glare.
Phos’s miniature Eyeconic luminaires were also specified with Tuba Brass inserts to produce golden tinged focal points that felt warm and welcoming, whilst sitting almost invisibly in the ceiling - in the areas with lowered ceilings.
A Lutron Homeworks control system complemented the lighting scheme, allowing for dynamic lighting scenes from a relaxing mode to a more spectacular and dramatic setting for parties.
