OUR STORY

Phos is part of a family group of engineering companies called The Cadisch Group - founded in 1883, spanning 5 generations. Our deep understanding of metals has been passed down through generations, successfully demonstrated across multiple industries and sectors, including supply to the world’s most reputable aircraft and automotive brands, the Ministry of Defence and even gaining a Royal warrant. This manufacturing experience combined with the latest LED technology allows us to create some of the most functional, customisable and beautifully crafted luminaires in the world.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We believe that lighting and architecture should work in complete harmony to evoke emotion and impact any space. Light enhances the beauty of a project and should be felt and not seen. We use this principle to help redefine how to manufacture luminaires, striving to create the smallest and most powerful lights relative to size, in the world. This ambition has helped us to produce our beautifully engineered lighting instruments, securing over 14 patents worldwide.

WE ARE LIGHT ENGINEERS

We place a lot of emphasis on the provenance of our materials, which are all locally procured, machined and assembled in the UK. We are fully in control of our supply chain, so any component we manufacture can be made out of any metal alloy and are all 100% recyclable.

HIGHLY MODULAR

All our design aesthetics are available in a Nano, Standard and Maxi variant.

These luminaires can all be fine-tuned both before and after installation. Easily interchangeable baffles, beam angles and post-optic accessories (up to 3 in one holder) can be added to every fixture.

Every component we make is available in any metal alloy and in an unrivalled range of finishing options.

Our unrivalled palette of flawless finishes on every single component allows either a luxurious additional layer of design or the ability to blend fittings organically into their natural habitat, bridging the gap between architectural and decorative lighting.

THE CLOSEST THING TO NATURAL LIGHT

After years of extensive research and assistance from the neuroscience community, we are now able to offer the closest match to natural light available. We use proprietary chip, phosphor, and packaging technology, bringing full spectrum natural light indoors, just as nature envisioned…. We call this the Genesis engine.

BIOPHILIC DESIGN

Humans have an innate and genetically determined affinity with nature. As the world continues to urbanise, the natural tranquillity of biophilic design has become ever more important to us. Our biophilically designed products are supported by the local community offering naturally occurring shapes, colours and textures, full-spectrum light and respect for the planet.

SUSTAINABLE UK MANUFACTURE

As a British lighting manufacturer, we are fully in control of every component in our supply chain.

Every element of our fixture can be broken down into the sub-component, enabling us to be able to repair, restore, recycle and ReGenerated.

We are very proud to have achieved B Corp certification which can only be achieved if we are manufacturing locally and reusing components if there are failures.

We offer lifetime project support on all our components.
